Opera Summer School

Dorset Opera Festival runs a 2.5-week opera summer school each July in Dorset, south west UK.  Sing in 8 fully staged performances with full orchestra. You will work and sing along side famous soloists.  You will be trained by famous chorus master Stephen Harris (ENO, Scottish Opera, WNO) and professional directors, conductors, costume designers and make-up artists.  Take part in work shops in stage awareness, language and pronunciation. Learn the arts of wigs & make-up and stage fight craft. Enjoy masterclasses with the soloists, get audition training – and more.

Accommodation, course and performances are all on the beautiful campus of Bryanston, one of the top British public schools. This is a very hard working and extremely rewarding opera summer school with plenty of time for socialising and making friends in the industry. All ages welcome. 18-25 age group particularly encouraged.
