The Dorset Opera Festival returns to Bryanston from 20–24 July 2027 for a glorious week of fully staged opera in the heart of Dorset.

Festival performances in the Coade Theatre —the home of Dorset Opera— bringing together internationally acclaimed soloists, outstanding professional production teams, our full orchestra and the Festival’s celebrated Opera Summer School chorus. In just a few extraordinary weeks, these forces combine to create opera on a scale and to a standard more often associated with the world’s major houses.

A visit to Dorset Opera is about much more than the performance. Audiences can arrive early to enjoy the full country-house opera experience: champagne and drinks from the Festival bar, picnicking on Bryanston’s lawns and the anticipation of the evening ahead among fellow opera lovers. Pre-ordered picnics make entertaining easy, while selected performances offer the opportunity for formal dining inside magnificent Bryanston House.
